Eryngium alpinum 'Blue Star' seeds Sea holly

Suitably named for its large bright blue flowers borne on self supporting stems. The flowering bract can reach 5" across and is soft and feathery to the touch. A long lived perennial the flower colour improves as the plant matures. Sun or light shade, particularly long lived hardy herbaceous plant. 2'4" The seed is very happy to be sown outside and is really tough.
